Accred Prog/Snowbd Fundamental - This course is designed for instructors who teach their guests in freestyle arenas from time to time. Participants are required to be able to teach and ride in the park at a “basic” level. You will review, and be assessed in, the basics of park and pipe (as available), riding skills and teaching techniques.
Accred Prog/Snowbd Masters - The Intermediate/Masters level courses are run concurrently (same time/place) with the participants needing to accurately assess themselves and decide which level they will be going for. An accurate self-assessment is crucial for success in this course (i.e. if a participant could pass the Int level but tries for the Masters level and is not successful, no accreditation will be awarded). Prepare for this course by reviewing the standards for each level online and/or attending one of the freestyle oriented courses such as the Freestyle Camp.
Safe Coach Freestyle Venues 1 Day - This clinic is a basic introduction to freestyle venues. The course is partially based on NSAA's Smart Style Initiative. It will be offered in conjunction with the Snow Sports Management Seminar and its content is intended for resort trainers. Be prepared to share your resorts policies and procedures regarding teaching in freestyle venues. Information about AASI's Freestyle Accreditation Courses will be presented as well. Wearing a helmet is not required, but is STRONGLY encouraged at this course.
Snowbd Corduroy and Carving - This course is designed for snowboard instructors refining their riding skills and working on carving and groomed terrain. During this course you will experience and discover techniques used to improve your understanding of both riding and teaching students to carve. Be prepared to learn and use terminology that will reinforce safe riding and coaching your students to switch edges with out pivot (or waiting for the board to face downhill). You will review movement analysis techniques used to determine when students are prepared move into the carving realm. Experiment with fun riding tasks that can be used to teach students to "play" to develop the necessary skills and gain experience before heading to more difficult terrain. Wearing a helmet is not required, but is encouraged at this course.

Snowbd Get'em Stoked - This fun course is designed for the beginner and veteran instructor alike who would like to add more pizazz to their teaching style. Go from blasé to bodacious and get those guests clambering to have you teach them more. The more you already know about teaching beginners the more there is to know. Don't let your lessons get stale, get 'em stoked!
Snowbd Intro to Moguls - This two day course is intended specifically for riders who lack experience in the moguls or who want to develop basic to intermediate bump riding skills within a fun, low pressure learning environment. Instructors who already ride and teach in the bumps frequently will also benefit, as they add the methods learned in this clinic to their bag of tricks.
Snowbd Intro to Steeps - Whether your home resort lacks steeps or they intimidate you, this is a great course to learn the basics. Learn the tactics and techniques for fun in the steeps. For more advanced riders, this course is also an effective way to strengthen your skills at teaching folks how to ride steeper terrain.
Snowbd Intro to Trees - This two day course is a great low pressure way to learn the ways of the woods. Held at a resort with a variety of open glades and terrain perfect for learning. Woods riding etiquette and risk management are also introduced.
Snowbd Kids - This program will hone your skills as a snowboard instructor to younger guests. In this riding adventure you will learn new activities, enhance group handling skills, increase your knowledge of the ages and stages of development (using the CAP Model), and improve your presentation skills.
Snowbd Lev 200/300 Teaching Concepts - This course is designed for experienced snowboarding instructors who are developing teaching skills. The course begins with a review of teaching and learning concepts and applies the concepts in various learning situations. Practice developing and presenting action plans. Use movement analysis to adapt basic teaching programs to individuals in your group. Achieve personal riding improvement by applying concepts from teaching segments to your riding level. Discuss and experiment with different movement and performance options. Learn about and use different forms of feedback, as well as class handling and concept presentation techniques. Come to this course prepared to share information with your group. This course will give you ideas and information that you can use to push your teaching programs to a new level. Wearing a helmet is not required, but is encouraged at this course.

You will analyze and critique the riding of other members of your group. Other members of the group will critique and/or videotape your riding. The course will review techniques to accurately observe and concisely describe snowboarding. You will practice using assessment techniques to develop a more accurate knowledge of cause and effect relationships between rider and snowboard. Wearing a helmet is not required, but is encouraged at this course.

Snowbd Level II Exam Prep - This course is designed for snowboarding instructors who want to have their overall program assessed, based on the AASI Level II standards. The course is 40% riding, 40% teaching and 20% other tasks which will be used to access the instructor's professional knowledge. Feedback will follow AASI Exam Assessment Form. Coaching is provided for personal riding, teaching and movement analysis. Riding and teaching tasks and situations will be similar to those chosen at the Level II Certification Course. At the end of this course, you will be provided with an assessment of your skills, including riding, teaching methodology and professional knowledge. Riders should come to this course prepared to share information, ride exam style tasks and deliver a brief teaching segment to the group. Wearing a helmet is not required, but is encouraged at this course.

Snowbd Level II/III Rider Rally Weekend - Prepare for the season, get some valuable feedback, and have fun doing it, all on the weekend without missing any work! Great way to start the season - expect lots of riding this weekend!
Snowbd Level III Exam Prep - A mock exam is a great way to help prepare for the real thing. This course presents the scenarios and expectations you may experience in exams, as the clinician provides coaching and feedback. A great "dry run" to see where your development is, in relation to the standards.
Snowbd Level III Retake/Assessmt 1 Day - Riding assessment/retake events are designed for snowboarding instructors who want to have their riding assessed, based on the AASI Level II or III standards as appropriate. The course is 80% riding, 20% coaching. Coaching is provided for personal riding improvement. Riding tasks and situations will be similar to those chosen at the Level II and III Certification Exams. At the end of this course, you will be provided with a written assessment of your riding skills, including an overall score for the riding category. The assessment you receive is based on your performance that day and cannot accurately determine actual performance at the Certification Exams. Members who have participated in an exam and are eligible for a "Riding Retake" may use a passing score from this course to complete their Level II or III Certification as appropriate. Wearing a helmet is not required, but is encouraged at this course.
Snowbd Moguls Camp - A variety of bump runs will allow you to progress and achieve your goals. Whether it’s working on your riding skills or adding more tricks to your bag you’re sure to learn a bunch at this camp. Come limber and ready to ride!
Snowbd Off Piste 2 Day - A riding prerequisite is required for this course. You’ll be challenged, thrilled, and exhausted by some of the knarliest trees and steeps on the east coast. Explore new ways to ride extreme terrain, exercise body and mind, and continue to develop your off-piste skills. Applicants must first attend and pass the one-day riding assessment.
Snowbd Reg/Level I Rider Rally Weekend - Prepare for the season, get some valuable feedback, and have fun doing it, all on the weekend without missing any work! Great way to start the season - expect lots of riding this weekend!
Snowbd Rider Update-All MTN Focus - This course is designed with LOTS of riding in mind. Use this clinic to fulfill your required update, just for fun, or to help in preparing for the riding portion of an Exam. Be prepared to explore most, if not all, of the terrain our host mountain has to offer. Riding improvement and tactical choices of terrain and snow conditions is the main focus within this group.
Snowbd Riding Park & Rails - This course is designed to improve an instructor's teaching and riding skills in terrain parks. You will review movement analysis techniques used to determine when you and your students are prepared to attempt to ride terrain park features at your home resort. Groups will review the NSAA's Smart Style Initiative and group safety will be stressed throughout the entire course. Appropriate terrain features will be utilized in an attempt to challenge everyone in the group as we explore how movement and performance concepts are applied to non-snow features. Use of appropriate terrain in teaching/learning will be discussed. Further time will be spent on coaching other group members to better performance by utilizing movement analysis skills applied to our new understanding of cause and effect relationships between rider, board and feature. Instructors should be prepared to ride appropriate sized terrain park features, coach each other, and share in discussions of your resorts policies and procedures regarding teaching in freestyle venues, terrain park design and maintenance, Wearing a helmet is not required, but is STRONGLY encouraged at this course.
Snowbd Spring Rally - A super weekend of riding, training and skill improvement! There will be an “Après-Ski Party” and spring celebration on Saturday afternoon at the mountain. And, don’t forget the Hannes Schneider Memorial Race held on Sunday.
Snowbd Steeps Camp 2 Day - This course is offered in a two day or three day format. Whether you are just developing your skills or pressing the envelope of what your legs and equipment can handle, this course will thrill you. We'll divide groups based on riding ability and desired focus, and explore the best terrain on the mountain.
Snowbd Trees Assessment - This one day course is a prerequisite to the Off-Piste clinic. Riders planning to attend the Off-Piste must pass this one time assessment.
Snowbd Trees Camp 2 Day - This course is offered in a two day or three day format. Smaller groups are planned for this course which provides better matching of the skill level and aggressiveness of the participants. Learn solid tactics and develop your tree riding skills with this course.

Snowbd Womens Event - These two-day events are now located at various resorts throughout the eastern division and each event has a special focus. These events will provide the opportunity to ride and socialize with other women who share the passion of mountain sports. The collective group will make a strong impact on overall event content.
