Are you interested in improving your riding or freestyle skills? No matter what level you are presently riding at, an AASI certified pro can help you reach that next level and have a blast doing it! Our members are trained to assess your riding level, strengthen the riding skills you come to them with, expand your personal boundaries, and turn you into the snowboarder you have always wanted to be. Your AASI certified pro will help you learn the skills that will give you the ability to take your riding up a notch!
Our members train in clinics with coaching on:
. Movement Analysis
. Teaching Techniques for Children
. Riding Assessment
. Riding Bumps
. Riding Trees & Steeps
. Freestyle "How To" clinics
Make certain that your next resort visit includes a clinic with an AASI certified instructor. They will make you riding stronger and more enjoyable.
Each year AASI holds numerous Park & Pipe clinics that focus on safety in the park & pipe terrain. These clinics utilize the Smart Style initiative and focus on improving your awareness as a rider, as well as coaching instructors on how to safely train students in the park. In 2003, AASI introduced the Freestyle Accreditation - a four step program that focuses on safety in the park and pipe and helps educate instructors on how you can improve the safety factor of your lessons in the park & pipe terrain.
Are you already an instructor? Do you want to have the ability to assess the strengths and weaknesses of your students, as well as help them improve their riding, or expand their boundaries within the course of a lesson? Do you want the opportunity to take clinics like those listed above to help improve your own riding skills and expose you to new teaching methods? Our educational clinics will help you build your "bag of tricks" and develop professionally. Our certification exams are verification to the industry of instructors riding and teaching skills. AASI believes that you will find a membership with AASI is the best investment in snow sports that you can make! Your snowboard school director can hook you up with information on how to become a member or you can contact us directly at (518) 452-6095.
