This clinic will provide attendees with a full description of the exam format and requisite standards, both National and Eastern. There will be on-snow time for many of the exam requirements, dependent upon the needs of the group. Any and all questions will be entertained and encouraged.
Adaptive Snowboard Exam Prep No Adaptive Reg 2 Blue 1 day on snow 06
This clinic will provide attendees with a full description of the exam format and requisite standards, both National and Eastern. There will be on-snow time for many of the exam requirements, dependent upon the needs of the group. Any and all questions will be entertained and encouraged.
Behavior Management Techniques No Adaptive Non 3 Blue 1 day on snow or indoor 06
Participants will gain insight into handling behavioral issues that may arise in a lesson, including dealing with family relations; class-handling tactics for dealing with students who fall into the general classification of Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention Deficit Disorders (ADD), Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, (PTSD). Case studies and personal experiences will be the basis for discussion.
Level I Exam Prep No Adaptive Reg Reg Green 1 day on snow 06
This clinic will provide attendees with a full description of the exam format and requisite standards, both National and Eastern. Participants will learn or practice all on snow requirements of the exam. Any and all questions will be entertained and encouraged.
Level II/III Exam Prep No Adaptive 1 2 Groomed Black 1 day on snow 06
This clinic will provide attendees with a full description of the exam format and requisite standards, both National and Eastern. There will be on-snow time for many of the exam requirements, dependent upon the needs of the group. Any and all questions will be entertained and encouraged.
Snow Pro Jam No Adaptive Reg 3 Blue 5 days on snow 30
This week is packed with different topics for every day. If you were not able to get out west to the National Academy, this is the week to get to. We will cover terrain based teaching, bi and mono skiing including setup, skiing and experiential tethering, myth busters and personal skiing. Adaptive Snowboard dependent on number of participants.
Spring Rally No Adaptive Reg 3 Blue 2 days on snow 12
Anything goes here. Level I to advanced – we will service any of your needs. Usually this event is fun and light hearted; you dictate the amount of information you want.
Small Group Experience – Personal Develop No Adaptive Non 3 Blue 2 days on snow 12
This clinic will not be over 5 people per clinic leader. As a group we will explore the personal skiing skill development and skiing challenges of each member. We will tackle any adaptive skiing or teaching challenges and share best practices with the group.
Snowsports School Director’s Seminar Adaptive Trainers Track No Adaptive Non 3 Blue 2 days on snow 12
Tues: Accreditation Process: Understand the concept and prepping your candidates for success. Focus on the specialty area you teach. Teaching Kids on the Autism Spectrum No Adaptive Non 3 Blue 1 day on snow 06
More and more times children with mild and moderate learning challenges are put into classes. In this clinic you will come away with some of the "red flag" indicators and tactics to use to create the environment that will help those children succeed.
Training for Your Trainers No Adaptive Non 3 Blue 2 days on snow 12
The trainers we have at our programs are the most important people to keep updated on what is new, what works well at other Programs, what to expect at certification exams and how to improve the lessons we all teach, by helping our instructors to become better skiers and teachers. We will give them the most updated information, methodologies and best practices available, to take back to their Programs.
